look, i like facebook for many of the same reasons that many others do. it makes it easy to stay in touch, to see what people are doing and to message people where they are already looking. for that, i’m grateful for it. what i think is a total drag is how much they lean on peer pressure and other tools of the conformity machine. who cares THAT people like something someone else says? i’d rather hear WHY they like something. who cares if someone decided to send me a cupcake, twinkle star or other silly gift. send money or a business referral if you want to buy my friendship! who cares if a friend of mine became a fan of something and you think i should become a fan now too? unless the group or individual is well-known, they became a friend because some asked them to do it. i could go on and on, but some days i just get tired of the conformity machine in this country!
