just received a hot publicity tip from a pair professionals whose perspective jives with my own – regina novickis and stacey johnes of pr takeoff. they suggest that you leverage google to generate your own pr stories. smart idea! simply google any number of key terms that are core to your business and see what stories pop up. not only will you get a feel for what’s being covered, but you will also see which outlets are active/desirable in your field. you can then formulate your own news angle, strategy and pitch towards these media outlets. this is one of the more practical tips i’ve come across of late. this is one marketing item that you can at least start (if not complete) without being a pro.
