stumbled upon an interesting video from harvard business on youtube. the topic is how to build a “leadership brand.” i learned that my splashkit network is an excellent example of this concept. when i first built the recording industry brand, i established three core competencies under on roof (produce, package, promote) – which created a unique offering on the marketplace. i then placed “experts” at the helm of each service area within these competencies – leaders who possess not only a significant amount of experience in a specific area, but who are also firmly committed to providing top-notch service. adding new leaders and training them in the splashkit way of business is an ongoing process. the last step was to create a top tier – “agent” – who writes proposals that respond to customer requests or illustrate the dynamic ways in which we can drive efficiency and new revenue for our clients. agents like me walk customers through the entire process, introduce experts, facilitate progress, and provide some services directly.
