gatekeepers offer info@ email addresses, ask to provide a proposal on something that could be easily be advanced in the now and say the person you want to reach is unavailable. the sun is also going to rise and fall in the sky each day (unless you live way north or south, of course). while a decision on an action you desire is being delayed, there is still opportunity — and you should treat that with care. anyone who’s a day in the life of a gatekeeper would be amazed at what people do in these instances. some lie, some get fanciful per why they need to talk to someone now and some refuse to take the next steps being offered. some even throw a temper tantrum (literally — as in raise their voice or cry to a complete stranger!) seriously folks, calm down. times may be desperate but sales doesn’t work where too much pressure is applied. think on your feet. be charming. figure out a way to turn the key. jamming a key that doesn’t fit the lock only breaks it — so that you can’t enter. do something out of the ordinary next. s/he wants you to send something? send a pizza with a note under the lid. they want you to use info@, send something while they’re on the phone that they can’t stop laughing at. don’t be like the others!
