a highly relevant subject matter for these times is the line between busy and manic – when you know you’ve crossed it and the implications with others. i think the differences are stark and simple. busy — you have a game plan, decisions about how you spend your time are made against it, you keep moving, you achieve a massive volume of items in a short period of time, others look and you with a sort of amazement at all you’re able to accomplish, you’re able to slow things down at any time for a humanistic moment when it matters most. manic — you don’t have a game plan (or you had one and are straying from it), you act impulsively, things move past you, you achieve some things but also mess others up, others look at you like you’ve lost your mind or are unfocused, you don’t know when to stop for even a second and opportunities are missed. be careful not to become the latter. it is detrimental to your brand.
