according to wikipedia, page rank is a link analysis algorithm that’s named after computer scientist larry page and used by google to rate websites. it assigns a numerical weight to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the world wide web, with the purpose of “measuring” relative importance. in short, it looks at how many back links your website has and how important each one is. in the diagram here, website “c” has a higher value than other websites with more links. the only link it has comes from the most valuable website in the set. where do you stand? get your rank.
