poor timing kills the message in any advertising. consider bp’s latest commercial and campaign. it’s bad enough they’re running a costly commercial at a time when they’ve yet to solve a disaster on their watch. louisiana governor bobby jindal claims he’s yet to receive a dollar from bp. when you look at the extent to which they’re covering their bases, it’s over the top. for example, i went to youtube to watch the commercial and played a few spoof ads. bp is paying for ad overlays on these videos. they’re also paying for the top “sponsored ad” position along the right sidebar. seriously?
