have you seen this yet? google now measures relevance by how well a service provider is connected within a geographic area. here’s how it works. assume a consumer searches something like “widgets washington dc.” google now returns a social circle recommendation towards the bottom of the first page of results — where the #10 listing would normally rank. you either know this widget provider directly or through a friend (and my social circle shows you the person(s) you have in common). the widget provider is highlighted by a gravatar (could be the only image on the page!), website link and excerpt. small businesses rejoice! web 3.0 is well on its way. explore the documentation from on “my social circle” for more information.
