i majored in fine art and art history in college — and you’ll rarely find me in a traditional art gallery. i just don’t like the culture. it’s also hard to find the time to plan visits given busy weeks. this said, i’m always intrigued when experiences can be brought to the consumer — as opposed to requiring the consumer to drop what he or she is doing to visit a place that may not be inconvenient or not the most inviting setting. here’s a random thought — how do people feel about seeing art on facebook walls? i find it refreshing when a nice visual pops up there. or what about wallpaper downloads for cell phones? i’d snatch up a nice piece of art for rotation as my iphone lock and home screen in a second. what about you?
