for the second year, the nfl is staging a huge campaign to boost breast cancer awareness. this year, in particular, the message is really cutting through the coverage. everywhere you look, there is a flash of hot pink. the logo is sprayed at midfield. banners and goal posts are donned in pink. the players are wearing pink gloves, sweatbands, dorags, cleats, chin straps, and towels. the coaches are wearing pink hats, shirts, glasses, jackets, and sweatshirts. even the referees are sporting some pink. in the past, i felt as though only a modest effort was being made. it just wasn’t making that loud of a statement. the opportunity has been there. to get a bunch of tough guys to wear pink in abundance would be difficult to ignore, right? drop by the national breast cancer awareness month website today.
