no, i’m not going to go on some macho rant about greed being good. i also won’t be putting on my pinstripe suit and robbing you blind with a creepy smile. in the midst of all the hard talk about money in both of the wall street movies, gordon gecko delivers this gem — “if there’s one thing i learned in prison, it’s that money is not the prime commodity in our lives…time is.” bravo. it took you a quarter of a century to realize what’s truly precious. for a minute, i thought you were going to say hair gel, cigars, monstrous phones, or limosines. all jokes aside, it’s unfortunate in today’s business when you find an otherwise smart executive or director who’s dabbling in something that’s not his/her expertise, or playing golf while his competitors chip away at marketshare, or undervaluing his/her brand, etc. what you do with limited time is what matters. make each move and minute count.
