i’ve heard it said a bunch of times lately. how does posting something as your facebook profile pic replace the good work of doing something truly meaningful — like contributing your time and money to a cause? the short answer is that it can’t, of course. however, that doesn’t mean that there’s no value in staging the simplest of facebook awareness campaigns. they’re free and super easy to launch. takes just a short tweet to communicate what you want people to do. the landscape changes dramatically behind your suggested action. people ask or google what’s going on. they learn the reason behind it. some take the desired action of giving time and money. a picture can say a thousand words. show me one way to get your call to action out there faster, less obtrusively, more succinctly, etc.
