what’s the most common initial obstacle i have in helping my clients to climb the great wall of google marketing? the one thing that keeps coming up is that google equals its adwords line alone. not only are there others ways to leverage google, but adwords is perhaps its most ineffective outlet. sure, you will get opportunities through adwords. a small percentage will buy. however, you’re dealing in advertising — and that means a ton of skepticism, shopping and price being the main factor. it’s hard to build value and promote something for all it can be through adwords. so, what else is there? i suggest you look into google places or google page rank. even something like google alerts will prove more valuable to your business. the point is that google offers many tools and ways to leverage the medium — the least of which is adwords. do a search and get to know them, or call me to explore them professionally.
