time for a reality check here. perfection does not exist. not now. not ever. i’m apologizing at the outset here — for daring to be so blunt. the message needs to be clear if it’s to cut through the matrix. the sooner that imperfection can be accepted, the sooner one can appreciate the beauty in chaos, just how intricate and amazing certain things are as they exist. when i see or hear someone who’ s clamping down on an effort (ie. really sweating it out), or wishing that things were different, all while claiming that it’s in the pursuit of perfection — it does not impress me. it’s not a noble effort, nor is it worthy of a simple pat on the back. that’s because nothing in this world is perfect. there’s really no reason to draw out matters beyond what’s reasonable. you set goals, you work hard, you produce and accept the best result you can, and you move on to the next item. progress is where it’s at for me and many other entrepreneurs/doer types. when i see someone obsessing over something not being perfect, i immediately want to help that person. let go. be liberated. let’s look at where things stand — objectively. let’s value our time a little more. the reality is that time is far too limited, and none of us controls exactly what happens to us next. keep moving forward and you will experience more than less. the idea of perfection is an obstacle and a hindrance. it’s not a pinnacle.
