Come Together (Right Now)

no one needs to be told how great of an orator president obama is. however, his message this week stopped traffic. absolute greatness. and not for his tone or delivery so much as the themes. many threads in what he said — passion, loyalty, free spirit, free speech, heroism, hard work, imagination, listening, empathy, compassion, and others — are as meaningful to americans now as they have been at any point in my lifetime. forget for a minute any differences you have with this man. his politics. his policies. his lack of experience. everything else obama. listen to the message. urgency. unity. love. action. we all do what we do for work. we have have our differences. however, we’re also all americans. we’re in this together as a country. if the following video doesn’t strike any chords, then you might want to consider how much of a grip you have on our times. too often, leadership is so detached that it does not connect. not so here.
