my honeymoon last week reminded me about the power of loving what you have and what you do. how when you love someone or something, and that passion is appreciated and returned, an amazing feeling will follow to overwhelm and uplift you. call it passion fruit. i will never forget swimming with my wife in the carribbean this past week, holding her in my arms, looking into her eyes, and feeling that breeze envelope us. even during less romantic moments, i won’t forget curling up under a palm tree with my laptop and calling that an office for a couple of hours. i did some of my best work in recent memory. in both instances, the clarity of purpose and my frame of mind could not have been better. nothing can stop you. this is where you want to be.
sure, passion is a seemingly simple pursuit. find something you love and give it everything you have. i am amazed at how few really give into this. you will transform your life in the process — so what are you waiting for? i understand that it takes courage to put it all on the line. i know that there are a number of distractions in all of our lives that prevent us from clearing the schedule to truly focus on something. you must realize, however, that you are living a more hollow existence as a result. there is less meaning to your days, and those days are passing you by. sorry to be so blunt, but it must be said. i offer this because i hope you will take the opportunity to become passionate about something or someone like never before in your life. you will be astounded by what can happen behind the investment. i think it’s no wonder that the flower of the passion fruit is one of the most shockingly beautiful blossoms in all the world. perfectly named.
