looking for an edge? it may be time to ask yourself just how vibrant your offering is, how well you’ve differentiated, how much exposure you’re giving yourself, how passionate you seem to consumers, and how much your opinion and content matters on the open market. are you making a HUGE impression or just telling people what you do? if this sounds like fluff to you, then think again. more and more consumers have become jaded by advertising and the big boys/girls. they like a good story, a live underdog and someone who’s emerging on the scene. local may cut through more than ever. are you in the “business as usual” crowd? are you coming off as a 9-to-5er? do you rarely get personal with customers? time to dial up the effort and show people just how much you care — that this is not just a job to you. this is what you were meant to do. if you love what you do, then you can bet that will be contagious. people will want what you have. it’s a simple formula.
