when someone suggests that you should market through google, do you find that funny? i had this experience on two separate occasions in the last week. i revealed that my three highest value, most reliable clients all found me through google. wait for it…giggles! do you not understand how well the medium works for businesses in the know? are you oversimplifying google marketing to its pay-per-click advertising option? i could see how that would be somewhat laughable. even with adwords, it’s still geographically-targeted and strategic. is that not better than waiting or relying on word of mouth only? they don’t call it a “marketing mix” for nothing. it’s better to diversify than to trust your leadfront to one mechanism — especially a more passive one.
